Sweet agave, fiery sriracha, and bold ginger come together in one of our favorite summer grilling recipes. These shrimp skewers are quick, impressive, and packed with flavor — perfect for weeknight dinners or backyard entertaining.

🔥 Pro Tips

🌴 Don't over-marinate. 10–15 minutes is the sweet spot. Too long and the lime juice will start to break down the shrimp.

🌡️ High heat = better char. Make sure your grill or grill pan is fully preheated before the shrimp hit the grates — you want that caramelized glaze, not steamed shrimp.

🍯 Double-glaze for max flavor. Brush on extra Global Wok Agave, Ginger & Sriracha Sauce in the last minute of grilling for a sticky, lacquered finish.

🤢 Don't crowd the skewers. Leave a little space between each shrimp so heat circulates evenly and you get a proper sear.

🌿 Serve immediately. Shrimp are best right off the grill — they continue cooking from residual heat, so plate and serve fast.

🔄 No grill? No problem. A cast iron grill pan on high heat works just as well. You'll still get great char marks and caramelization.

Recipe

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 8 minutes

Servings: 4 servings

Ingredients

1.5 lbs large shrimp, peeled and deveined
3 tbsp Global Wok Agave, Ginger & Sriracha Signature Sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
Juice of 1 lime
Wooden or metal skewers
Sesame seeds & sliced scallions to garnish
Lime wedges for serving

Prep & Cooking Instructions

1. If using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
2. In a bowl, whisk together Global Wok Agave, Ginger & Sriracha Sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and lime juice.
3. Add shrimp and toss to coat. Marinate for 10–15 minutes (no longer or the lime will start to cook the shrimp).
4. Thread shrimp onto skewers, about 4–5 per skewer.
5. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates.
6. Grill shrimp 2–3 minutes per side, brushing with extra sauce during the last minute of cooking, until shrimp are pink, slightly charred, and caramelized.
7. Remove from grill and garnish with sesame seeds and sliced scallions.
8. Serve immediately with lime wedges and steamed jasmine rice or a crisp Asian slaw.
